A Note From Buster ::

I just got this a few minutes ago:

Jerry Sheheen said that he ran in to Kirk Carrison over Thanksgiving. Kirk is planning on moving to Alaska as close to the North Pole as he can get. He says that has always been a dream of his. B.


Beautiful country, but brutal if you don't know how to handle it! I enjoyed the year I spent in the Aleutian Islands and I'd love to revisit Alaska, but I'm not so sure about living there!

Lonny Davis Information

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - Londees "Lonnie" Davis Jr., 64, of Huntersville, died November 7, 2011, inPresbyterian Hospital. He was born July 5, 1947, in Camden, SC, to Betty Baskins Davis and the late Londees Davis Sr. Lonnie graduated from Camden High School Class of '65 and Midlands Tech. He served in the U.S. Air Force 49th TAC Fighter Group/8th TAC Fighter squadron, The Black Sheep. He served in England, Germany, Africa, and ended his duty in New Mexico. He was a member of the Cornelius/Lake Norman Lions Club. Lonnie worked for Duke Power (McGuire Nuclear Station) in the engineering department. He was a pilot, loved to fly and loved his friends at the Bradford Airport. He flew an Ercoupe. Lonnie was an avid NASCAR fan.

Lonnie had an accident in 1969 that took his ability to walk, but it did not take his love for life or positive attitude.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cindy Davis; close friend, Ronny Mays; godson, Cameron Londees Mays; father-in-law, Jack (wife Eva, deceased) Barnes; brother-in-law, Eddie Barnes (wife Maggie); sister-in-law, Jeanie Sampson (husband Sam, deceased) and Barbara Barnes; niece, Morgan Barnes; nephews, J.R. and Ben Earle; as well as his dog, Coco.

Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill or Lions Camp Dogwood or one's choice.

The family will receive friends at Christ Community Church, 16301 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville from 2-4 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011.

A funeral service will be held at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church in Camden, SC, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Camden.
