I attended the memorial for Billy and Lynn's grandson yesterday--- a very touching and moving ceremony. The service was held in a large non denominational church which housed over 1500 and was full. Tremendous community support. The family was able to include uplifting personal messages that would probably would have been very hard to compose in a short amount of time Angie's recorded an audio which was the story of an 11 years old life and scores of individual and family pictures were displayed on the large video screens. She weaved a heart felt motherly message into a touching tribute. Billy addressed the crowd and thanked everyone for their generosity and support. He also asked that everyone keep Matty in their prayers. As you are aware if you look up the definition of Christian in a dictionary his picture will be of what one should be in both thought and deed. His spirit will move the family forward. An assistant minister read a message from Logan, the 15 year old sister, to her 11 year old brother There were excellent messages from two ministers at the start and finish and there was a concluding message from Angie which contained the night prayer and the laugh of the 11 year old. Obviously these are trying times. The round trip to the hospital is over 100 miles. Fortunately the father, now in rehab, has been moved to the same hospital as the son. I thought Billy and Lynn looked exhausted. They will be in Ga. for a long time. Many of the friends and neighbors have donated air miles so that the 2 sisters and brother can fly up on weekends. There are baby steps of improvement for the 13 year old. There is a facebook website 'Caymol Strong' where the family post updates and there is a fund where you can contribute financially. B.
